Nighttime Lunar Sky Watch Program

 

Join avid, amateur astronomers and their ‘very serious telescopes’ for an evening of telescopic viewing of the moon’s surface.  This ‘up close and personal tour’ of the 28% illuminated waxing (growing) moon also includes cloud-belts of Jupiter and its Galilean moons, star patterns called asterisms and The Great Orion Nebula.  Weather permitting.  Saturday, January 28, 7pm-9pm, Crooked River State Park, Saint Marys, GA, 912-882-5256, $5 parking fee and $3 program fee.
